New tour! I totally want to see Rise Against again, but Papa Roach isn’t my cuppa tea. I haven’t listened to them since I heard Scars on the radio as a kid.
Are they worth giving an album a listen?

I was obsessed with their latest aBlum ego trip , I was surprised how much I liked it! No apologies is my favorite off it but I enjoyed the whole thing. I got to see them live for the first time last year or two years ago now at a small club in Chicago and they were fucking amazing. They put on arena energy, even though it was a club show. plus it was one of those things where I knew more than I thought I was gonna know. Highly recommended to see them live.

Outside of Infest I do think Getting Away with Murder is their second best, although I haven’t listened to their last 4 albums.

Still surprised that Rise have never done an album anniversary tour (yet). Thought for sure Sufferer or Appeal would get one.

  6. I'm not certain Tim's voice would handle anniversary tours for their earlier stuff at this point. I know they did those deep cuts shows a while back, but something longer than that would probably be tough on him

Agreed that RPM and Siren Song are probably out, but Sufferer onwards they opted for fewer screams in general. Oh well. I'm glad we get a few deep cuts every tour.

I was lucky enough to see the "Songs From the Fat Years" Metro show in 2009, and I don't think I need to see another RA show.

Papa Roach is hard to pin down to one sound, as besides the obvious nu-metal core, they've incorporated punk and pop influences into their sound over the years and they're not afraid to experiment within reason.

I remember when GAWM came out and they were suddenly touring with Dead Poetic.

Their last one is pretty good as is The Connection, as far as recs from their more recent history.
