Done! Game was actually fun. Essentially a clicker game but easy GS nonetheless.

 

I know you're early on, but have you played Echoes of Wisdom, and which would you say you enjoy more?

 

I enjoy this more overall. I kinda bounced off Echoes because of some polarizing decisions i'm still unsure how I feel about them, its a greatly designed game. That seems to be the opinion of that game though, People either loved the changes or felt meh about it. It's hard to tell someone else that they should play Echoes.

 

I like Echoes of Wisdom a lot and am also annoyed by Echoes of Wisdom

I know many games suffer from this but I feel like Echoes of Wisdom CAN be super fun to play but I'm never able to play it because there's so much dialogue I have to get through every 5 steps

 

Lots of menu-ing, which im usually down for but not like one superrrrrr longggggg menu

 

I played EOW up through saving Hyrule and the king from its big rift, but

it mayyyy have been emulated and I feel like a piece of shit lol

 

Echoes ruled

 

Incredible how this dev team was able to rebound from what seemed like another massive MMO live service failure.

 

Sounds like Mario and Luigi dream team. Dreadful first impression in that game. You’re still doing tutorials at hour 10

more thoughts I agree with in replies but yeah I think when people say the writing and dialogue are cringe they really mean the direction and editing is mismatched with the mood. I’ve been saying from day one the writing and dialogue feels very true to the series for me, but something has definitely felt a little different and I think that’s what it is. Sounds like voice actors had no context for the scenes they were doing and just kind of guessed on intention and tone. It’s why rook comes across the same personality wise no matter which dialogue option you choose. I suspect the fact it got rebooted twice has something to do with it. Like they hadn’t landed on a strong direction when some of this was recorded. Also the budget probably tightened big time when it came to the voice acting and couldn’t redo lines.

 

That was a big issue with FFXIV Dawntrail. Just terrible VA direction for very good VAs resulting in a mess

 

I’m mostly very positive on the VA work overall but yeah it’s pretty noticeable in spots. It’s definitely made better by the talent because these are all by and large pros who are great at what they do.

This would have been a great game to launch directly onto PS+

Picked up a PS5 Pro. Zero self control, post Trump despair, etc. it’s nice so far. Not a massive upgrade and probably something I would only recommend to hardware enthusiasts. Alan Wake 2 looks incredible on it

 

I'll prob get one once they release functioning faceplates. I hate the white lol, I decked mine out in all black plates.

 

I feel like the power of the PS5 hasn't even been realized yet, and the pro seems on paper to be a minimal upgrade

 

need to buy Astro bots so badly

 

just downloaded Battlefield 2042 on gamepass since i been in the mood for a shooter
can't wait to get called some racial slurs
(if anyone else has it lemme know if you're down to team up!)

 

Are you playing at 30fps?

because the performance mode famously looks like ass even on the pro.
