Just tell us who at this point. Also....Metlife? Seriously? Even Green Day and Blink didn't bother trying that place.

Huh? MetLife is 45-50k for concerts, Green Day did Citi Field and Citizens Bank Park in Philly not NJ, both in that ball range.

I'd presume MCR would prioritise NJ over NYC/Philly, maybe even 2 dates.

Last time they did 2 x Prudential Center, that's 32k not counting overlaps. 2 Barclays, Long Island and Philly.

They'll be fine especially if there's good support.

The US leg is apparently pretty short (heard "about 12-15" but can't confirm it) so would have people travelling too

This just isn’t true Ed Sheeran had 89k. No concert has bigger stage set ups than wrestlemania and that got about 80k when you factor in people on the floor

Ed Sheeran's stage was in the middle of the stadium

    Same with Wrestlemania
WrestleMania 35 sets MetLife Stadium's WWE attendance record | WWE

Standard concerts with the stage at one end are more like 50k. Blackpink, Beyonce, Twice,RHCP, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney all in that range.

no stage is cutting off half the stadium anyone doing 50k in metlife is bc they could not sell a ton of tickets. baseball stadiums do 40k for concerts and metlife is literally double the size. and the stage for wrestlemania is at the end of the stadium thats just the ring in the middle

Well tell that to those acts then. Are you really claiming Beyonce and Paul McCartney etc decided to sell 20k+ tickets less than they could've?

"anyone doing 50k in metlife is bc they could not sell a ton of tickets."
so hypothetically if mcr weren't able to sell a ton of tickets as claimed (if capacity wasn't reduced like you claim) they could....just do 50k like........every other act who does that much? Maybe even twice like those other acts often do. I really do not get what you're going for here sorry

What even is this argument? Stadiums have different capacities based on stage size, backline, if it’s in the round. These are all facts, dumb arguments.

here is a picture of rolling stones set up at metlife. by your logic there are 40k seats blocked off behind this

    80000 - 55000 = 25000
Including side stage, yeah that roughly tracks

Seating chart is here, roughly a third seems cut from the normal seating

I think we’re all really brushing past the fact that Alice Cooper and Devo are supposedly opening for MCR.

can that be the discussion moving forward?

I would have bet my left nut on BMTH and my right one on Sleep Token or something like that. But nope, MCR is putting together a bill that even my boomer dad would know

Yeah 50k sounds about right. Even with the addition of floor seating/standing, a stage at the end of the field cuts off the entire quarter of the stadium.
