Pulling for Green Day or Jack White for Best Rock Album and for Album of the Year, would love to see it go to Billie or Chappell or even Sabrina

The worst part about the Khruangbin nom is that they don’t even stand a chance at winning lol. It’s like getting overlooked on both ends. This wasn’t a particularly stand out album of theirs anyway, but still cool to see their name up there

Knocked Loose getting nominated makes up for all the gripes I have with pretty much every other category. I'm putting all my money on Suffocate being my most played song of 2024 when Spotify Wrapped comes out.

I think Knocked Loose fans are just happy seeing them nominated lol, I don't think they figure there's any chance of actually winning over Metallica, Judas Priest or Gojira.

i’m sure it’s for the studio version of the song but there hasn’t been a bigger metal “performance” than the opening ceremony in i can’t remember how long

 

I can see the Grammys pulling a maneuver to Chappell similar to what happened with Rodrigo last February where she was nominated for a ton of categories but won absolutely nothing. Also fuck Chris Brown.

The Rock vs Alternative distinction with the Grammys continues to be weird. Fontaines nominated for best rock album and also best alternative performance.

 

Cool to see Clairo swing back this year and get that alternative album nod. Still one of my favorites of the year
