If I did do a twitch I would do one where I just talk about history. Like pick a niche historical topic every day and spend hours going into detail on it, doing leftist historical material analysis, reviewing history videos, playing history nerd games like Civ, AoE, AC, ect. From the perspective though of just a dumbass history buff without a degree learning along with the audience.

There is a lot of reactionary history content out there and a lot of historical misinformation. Would be cool to have a counter on twitch to that.

on twitch and youtube you stream under "categories" so if you're streaming a game, youre listed under that specific game's category in the directory. Hasan, and other reaction/news/personality streamers, streams under the Just Chatting category primarily. Then from there, you can add tags like what language you're speaking in, safe space, news, election, etc that helps people see at a glance more specifics about each individual channel

Political content streamers on twitch now have to list their streams as "political or sensitive content" now I think. Like if you are just a normal video game streamer and you make an offhand political comment and you don't have your stream listed, you could get demonetized.

I think with a lot of these takes miss is that the answer isn't we need more podcasts, etc., etc., it's that there's a bunch of different subsets that to build a coalition you need to be able to reach. Disney/West Wing fetish Adults is one of them. They locked that down. Now, it's the other factions you need to be finding out how speak too as well. And there's a lot of arguments about how to do that, mine has been a material needs and class based argument that's more aligned with someone like Bernie, others think identity politics is how to do that. Iiiiiiiii would argue we have 2 elections now that give us more of an answer of what doesn't work. However, what I also don't have an answer to is ... West Virginia. Dems did a lot of good there, factories are opening, surplus, etc., and it still went Trump by like 70%.

 

this is also a group that has the luxury to not feel inflation. so yes they could sit back and say "Trump's scary and bad, I'll vote against him"

Not nearly on the level of the communication revolution/30 years War level, but again given my current class I'm taking, it reminds me a little bit of the literacy rate in the colonies being so high and the early anti-tax mobs being very organized and orderly and well-read on government philosophy compared to how people usually think of mobs lol

 

If I became a Twitch streamer, it would be on stuff I know and am interested in so I would actually be credible. But a Star Trek/One Piece/Discworld streamer is too niche for a legit audience.
