    It’s like they were designed for it, mixed with vinyl in mind

    Chris Walla’s insistence on analog DIY recording with no artificial assistance whatsoever, and his ability to produce songs into lush soundscapes using very simple melodies and like 300 different guitar tones… that was the soul of DCFC. For me they haven’t been the same at ALL since he left. He’s the primary reason Death Cab inspires me heavily as a guitarist and songwriter
