my advice is also just start with what you have. because you don't have a $300 mic or a $1000 camera+lens combo doesn't mean you can't stream. start with just a webcam and a headset if that's what you need.

broadcast out to twitch, make sure you're recording and then upload the stream to youtube. chop it up into youtube shorts and then share those out on your tiktok feed and instagram reels and twitter account.

I agree with this and I think that someone who can relate to them in this way and show them why so many of us moved left because of all these things would be great.

On your last point though, I don't think it's just that those are the first things they saw through the algo, I think a big part of it is that mainstream media is portrayed/described by so many as "the left" (when we know it's really center-right) and they see that what mainstream media is offering them doesn't match up with their reality. So rather than thinking of the left as a place they can go to find answers they see it as part of the problem and think that the only counter is to the right.

yup, you're not going to go live and suddenly 50 people tune in immediately and you grow overnight. you're going to broadcast to 1-2 people at most for a LONG time. but as long as you're consistent the algo will eventually catch up and start moving you up as you keep adding maybe 1-2 more people here and there.
