Im sorry i misread your post brother. I am incredibly sick of people talking up mayor Pete as though that gets anyone anywhere

I would definitely say I’m the person in this thread most responsible for arbitrarily picking fights for sure tho

 

My dad has comparatively good politics for a late Boomer ( he's an old school Michael Moore style working class union SocDem ), and I had my own phases where i got into reactionary online politics, but i think it was my dad having conversations with me about his politics from when i was very young, and the books/films/culture he introduced me to when i was a kid really is what influenced my politics as an adult.

I think as long as you are active in openly discussing your own worldview with your kid in a healthy way without ramming it down their throats I think that makes the biggest difference down the line.

 

Don’t want to get all conspiracy theory, but I still don’t get how her rallies were that packed and his empty (know that doesn’t mean a lot) plus record turnout and registration — and these are the numbers/results. You got ballot boxes burned, early/mail-in votes not getting counted, and all the shady shit they were saying and doing. Like there’s no chance shit was compromised?

 

I think suppression happened but the margins are so big it didn’t really matter

 

I mean maybe. But that really isn’t an answer for the bigger problem—which, again, is why all the mayor Pete talk from a number of people really pisses me off—which is that this should never have been close in the first place, let alone a Trump blowout. It’s just a way to cope and staunch blood while taking the party even further right

 

I do think we’re going to see much worse suppression in 2028 and we need to start organizing now to counteract that

Another thing about getting into political streaming: To be able to do it on the level where it makes a difference you have to be an absolute freak and punishment pig. Hasan streams 10-15 hours a day 6 days a week. He has basically no real social life, has talked about how absolutely damaging to his mental health his job is. Streaming about politics eats up his entire existence, but he still loves it because he knows and acknowledges there is something deeply wrong with him. If you're into online politics, but recognise how damaging it can be to your mental health, becoming a political streamer is basically saying fuck it and going all in 100% into it and making the fucked up reality that is online politics your entire life.

It aint for the faint of heart. You have to be a special kind of person to do it in a serious way. You're kind of like a sin eater. destroying your life to educate and enlighten others.

I actually started getting a stream set up going again the other day but my headset is broken so I need to get another one or a desk mic before I can. I streamed a bit back in 2021-22 and it was a good time but I don’t really like watching streamers myself lol I tend to stick with YouTube clips

 

some folks who post in this thread fit that mold lol. Idk how people manage to stay posting

 

The last two days is the most I’ve posted in a couple months I was doing so good

 

I’m not hot, jacked, or Turkish enough to stream. I’ve got all the other qualities necessary tho

 

Hopefully making 6 figures a month stems the pain of being a sin eater or whatever

I like to think I’m good looking and somewhat charismatic and well spoken. Like if asmongold can be a massive streamer there’s no way it’s out of the question for me. Granted a lot of dudes like that started with very specific topics on YouTube (I knew asmon back in like 2013-14 from his world of warcraft videos which were actually thoughtful critiques of the state of the game) and eventually built the fan base necessary to make streaming work. YouTube is just such a cesspool that making topic videos doesn’t seem worth it

 

I have a speech impediment, deep issues with self esteem and anxiety, and am terrified of being on camera. so no streaming is not for me lol

 

Finally deleted twitter off my phone, figured anything that's important will get posted here anyway. Need to protect my sanity.

 

Really imo the solution to the young men problem is just hire Felix biederman and brace belden as consultants

 

I also like to think that I'm good looking enough to be a streamer , the only wrinkle is that it is not true
