Ugh absolutely gutted that I'm just seeing this now and I missed Controller

I went on an insane shopping spree today. Books, 4Ks, all of it. Fuck it.

 

Same. I had a work meeting.

 

I ordered a copy of War On Errorism today for reasons.

 

Wow crazy that Controller sold out so quickly. I know when I placed my order earlier there were still two variants....I'm curious how many got put up altogether. I think it's what 333 each? Definitely not that much went up lol.

a loooong time ago, before I really got into buying music, I noticed the SILYMI i downloaded from Limewire was different from the one I downloaded from a discography torrent. comparing files now, I guess the versions of Leaving and Saddest Girl Song were actually from With Hopes of Starting Over. that doesn't explain Cheek to Cheek, Left Coast Envy, and a handful of others. listening to the vinyl now, I remember backing vocals that aren't there. what could explain this, were the files I downloaded demos or something?

I think there’s a handful of those that are on the “We The People Sessions” aka “The Early Years” LP that came out. They reused a few of those songs for the full length, but the demos have different lyrics or arrangements.

 

that's it! so they were early demos that were later released as this? i had no idea!

i had the same thing happen with the overlap on Audioboxer and Leaving Through the Window haha

 

There’s that “Surprise, Surprise” demo that has a completely different bridge too. I actually preferred that one to the finished product.

 

Looks like the Counterparts dudes are dropping a new EP called Heaven Let Them Die. PO's will drop probably this morning. Keep an eye out! Most likely leftover tracks from Eulogy. But that's just my speculation.
