I think more realistically this is the political order that emerges out of, like, the Jimmy Carter administration on the far end or the Clinton administration on the recent end. Whenever Dems firmly broke from the New Deal and firmly entrenched itself in neoliberalism.

This feeling of complete political, cultural, and ideological defeat is so pronounced that honestly I would be shocked if we get the type of protests we got on 2016-2020 much at all. I don't even see "antifa" black bloc people showing out.

 

I feel bummed that Trump won but even more that this is what the two party system has led to, i've never been so against the democratic party as I am now. There is definitely a feeling of hopelessness. My algorithm is filled with politics and it is hard to look away.
