Lol that is true, he is 1) a bad interviewer and 2) very very dumb, so yeah, maybe he does something different if she's on the show. I have no idea. His trajectory has sucked for a number of years and I am sad to see friends that I respect take him seriously. Like the Bernie to Trump pipeline seems so alien to me but it seems to be very real in a lot of cases

Maybe the real question is why a dipshit former game show host and UFC promoter has so much influence over the electorate.

Overall all 14 of them in this class seem pretty incredulous that he won. Especially when I told them it looked like the biggest swings we saw seemed to be from young white men, black men, and latino voters. When they asked how that was possible I told them the economic issues those voters brought up like inflation and the economy and they couldn't understand how those voters didn't get that tariffs will raise prices, etc.

 

Trump’s podcast appearances were clipped and all over social media. You don’t go on a show like Rogan’s just for Rogan’s audience, it’s a huge platform that can amplify you beyond that (huge) audience. It’s how you reach kids on Tik Tok who might not listen to Rogan but sure as shit get clips from his show in their feed every day

 

He is a boomer whose brain broke during COVID, moved to Austin and surrounded himself with comics/reactionaries who share his worldview.

I mean I would not be surprised if at some point he starts embracing religion because he is 90% down that type of path.

They didn't swing as big form 2020 so despite them sucking overall, their swing wasn't overall what caused the loss. The bigger swings in those other groups would more likely make the difference in a close state.

 

i'm just saying, i hate how the narrative overlooks what is half of the core base of the republican demographic, thus not properly analysing it, then goes to the supposed outliers.

 

Well tbf I shoulda clarified that this was in the context of one of them literally asking me how he could win again after losing in 2020 to Biden, did people just not like Harris, etc, at which point I think it makes sense to look at which groups had bigger swings from 2020 to 2024 which it seems to be mostly those three groups (and asians, which idk if those exit polls are counting middle eastern voters as asian or not lol) that swung the most between elections.

White women overall really are just overall crappy, though it does seem to depend on the state. Georgia white women being super far Trumpy seems like it would match up with what I assume is an older white women demo, younger white women were more Dem I think

 

because a good majority of the country are uneducated people who were radicalized via social media.
