Awful result, obviously; but, and maybe I am naive, I am not going to kill the dems over this. Inflation is an election killer, as dumb as it is to pin that on democrats. You can run a campaign a million different ways and sometimes the mood in the air is just to defeat the incumbent.

 

Did you follow the campaign at all? There is every reason to blame the Democratic party for this.

 

They sent fucking Ritchie Torres to Dearborn to mock ceasefire supporters. They spent the last two weeks parading Liz Cheney around the country. They are not a functioning party and they will not lift a finger to stop Trump

 

I wouldn’t have made those moves, either, but I am just saying that if none of those things happened, I think he still would’ve won.

 

Well if he still would’ve won it’s guess it’s fine to not even try!

 

It is entirely looking like the economy and “saving democracy” were the two biggest reasons for the shift and somehow dems didn’t do a thing on the democracy part

 

Maybe I am being a prisoner of the moment, though.
