People get jobs in other countries all the time. I'm sure I can find a software engineering job in Canada. Montreal is 5 hours away, so I can still see my family. Ireland would be literally no different for me work wise, we have a large Belfast office. Why wouldn't I consider getting a job where my ancestors are from that *don't* have a Nazi dictator running the show?

I've made the drive. It's doable. I can even take a bus. I mostly see my family on holidays, it's fine. My little sister moved halfway across the country, she is fine. I have no friends these days and just became single, so it's whatever.

I don't want to be here when shit hits the fan with Trump. He was stopped from doing some really fucked up shit the first time around because he had people around him who refused to listen to him. This time around, he's gonna hire crazy yes men like Elon and RFK.

 

The list of countries to look at is scary long and complicated and I feel so bad for all the countries that are going to have to deal with the influx of Americans in the next couple months/years
