Yeah like I was telling someone a week or so ago, an unfortunate thing about her win would be that it shows not only the base but the general public it's intention to move to the right. And even if Kamala were to pivot after the win, the expectation would be cemented in a place where you're automatically losing progressives.

 

Republicans aren’t trying to court any liberal voters! They’re turning out people who historically don’t vote!! Obama voters turning for trump was just a side product of that.

Try living in Philly. The campaigns had 100% TVC ad buys out for like three months. They were sending us to canvas houses with like five pieces of campaign lit on them. The Sunday before the election, registered Dem voters were legit mad at us for door knocking again at 2pm.

TLDR Campaigns need to stop measuring success by a metric like total # of voter touchpoints.

I got close to 100 texts from organizations in PA and I haven’t lived in the state in almost two and a half years. I’ve never voted in the state and don’t think I was ever registered.

Then Walz gets picked and I'm like "fuck yeah maybe shit has changed"

Then Walz gives a cool speech at the DNC and I'm like "fuck yeah maybe shit has changed"

Then Harris gives her speech at the DNC. And woof. Instantly felt bad for donating the night before. And honestly that is where the whole vibe of the campaign shifted for me. Hate that it seems like I was right and that wasn't a winning message
