Well yeah, but that's why I said it was a me thing. It's just not the story I'm interested in seeing from Tom's SM right now. Feels like a cop out move for a time jump to me. But I guess I have to see where Peter is in Doomsday first before I really make a judgement.

Not like any of this will stop me from seeing it and probably loving it though. But I could do without some of the stuff that leak alludes to.

 

Now i am just waiting MCU Hulking/Teddy Altman. I thought they were going to introduce him in Secret Invasion or The Marvels but i was wrong.

 

Apparently Jason Staham has been cast in a role that will play a key role with the Young Avengers.

Not entirely sure about the credibility of the source but since it’s going around like wildfire I figured I’d post it. Could be interesting considering Quill wasn’t on earth when Strange did that spell in NWH so he would still know Peter is Spider-Man.

These rumors continue to bum me out about the movie. If they're even true obviously.

Couldn't we just get a SM where Tom is the biggest face in the movie? The rumored supporting cast so far is ridiculous. RDJ, Andrew Garfield, Michael Keaton, Chris Pratt, maybe even Tom Hardy. Why not just invite Jake back for Mysterio too? Dumb ass Sony.

Apparently it’s in the contract that a big name from the MCU has to be in the movies. That’s why homecoming had RDJ, FFH bad Samuel and NWH had Benedict. Sony requires it

 

Ughhh at that contract stipulation. Tom can sell it by himself, he doesn't need help from anyone else.

 

I know, but look how we went from a possible Daredevil team up to what this might turn out to be. That’s a lot more than just a mandatory MCU co-star being forced in. Now we have a returning Spider-Man, a possible multiverse Venom, Keaton’s Vulture, Star Lord for some reason, and the biggest MCU star as the next big MCU villain. And that’s just the rumors that have gained traction so far. All conveniently after SM4 was formally announced.

To me, this movie sounds like either a huge mess or leakers are just going crazy throwing all the bullshit they can at the wall. I usually try to stay optimistic for every MCU movie until I see it, but SM4 is already shaping up to be a disappointment for me. Which I think is fair considering where we left his character. But it’s just rumors anyway, so who knows

I actually like the team-up factor and I'm looking forward to when Spider-Man can pal around with not just Daredevil, but Human Torch, Iceman, Beast, and Wolverine.

But I also think it would be nice to have a pure Spider-Man film.

 

They should just make the movie without spiderman.

 

Everything you said sounds fun. But a Star Lord team up is not it for me. Everything else just feels like they’re trying too hard to top NWH with these huge co-stars.

It’s inevitable when it’s placed between Avengers movies and SM is most likely a lead in at least Doomsday, but it could still have better prospects than these rumors are giving. It feels desperate when they have no reason to be desperate. If that makes sense to anyone else but my high ass.
