One of my buddies has the strangest girlfriend ever. In general she might be one of the strangest people ever.

We're watching college football and she downright sobs whenever a team loses. Just sits there and bawls her eyes out. The rest of us look around awkwardly and my buddy just shrugs and says, "yeah, that's what she does. We can't watch games anywhere but here because of it."


No matter the sport or team, she cries because, "it's so sad one team always has to lose". At least, I think that's what she was saying.

but seriously I wouldn't cry but I could relate to wanting each side to be happy and win which is impossible in sports I know

 

I wish both sides could win only cause ppl are cranky jerks after their team loses and it's annoying oop

 

how do you guys deal with jealousy?
I feel like my last relationship wrecked me because there was no trust and now I'm just an overly jealous person and I want to get a handle on it but don't know how.

 

You really have to be open with how you feel to your partner or therapist/whomever you feel comfortable to talk about your problems with,address the root issue(Jealously stems from somewhere/perhaps a past relationship or unrealistic standards), and work on trust. Don't shove down the feeling, It just gets worse.

 

My ex is already in a relationship with someone else now. It hurts, but I guess not as bad as I thought. I just wish I could start meeting new people and get myself out there. I'm just bummed.

 

okay here we go: girl i had a crush on like a long ass time ago texted me while i was 2 hours away at CV wanting 2 hang out this week. i also got a really fucking bad cold and i don't think as of today, i've recovered enough to hang out. the thing is, she hasn't seen me in over a month or so...and during this time i've dedicated a ton of time to the gym and i've gotten considerably more hot. trying to be at my A-game but worried if i don't meet up w her soon she'll think i don't wanna hang...

was gonna ask her to dinner and maybe supermoon viewing tonight but i don't think i'm healthy enough...help me out dating thread

 

Tell her you want to hang out and are really looking forward to it, but warn her you have a cold; she might say she doesn't care, or she might just reschedule. Put the ball in her court.

let her know you'd love to, but you're recovering from a cold and if she's free this weekend. Give you enough time to get over your cold, but it's soon enough to keep her attention and you can plan something and probably both have better availability.

 

from personal experience where i have done this: the girl never says no to hanging out even though i have a cold, and always ends up getting sick and blaming me. i'm batting 1000 in this scenario.

Who cares? You got to hang out with her. It's just a cold, you aren't giving her AIDS.

 

Looking back on these times, I would have much preferred to sleep instead of hanging out. But then again I'd choose sleeping over hanging out with just about anyone.

 

I mean you could just tell her the truth..

 

This seems like the easiest AND best option.

 

People get really pissed at anyone they might get sick or might have gotten sick from. it's pretty fucked up

Be upfront and honest and also make sure the person knows you're not blowing them off and want to see them soon, and make the effort to schedule the make-up date
