One positive I just thought about was you play the Lions next weekend on SNF

They will run the score up on you if they can, so it will be obvious the resiliency of this team

I know we do this song and dance with so many rookie QBs but as a Trevor Lawrence defender I actually think CJ Stroud might even have it worse at RB, and line than Trev did. Stroud does have better weapons but they been getting hurt. (Slowik and Press Taylor suck about the same amount at OC)

 

I just had another drunken passing thought, it may be time to bring in Gary Kubiak as a consultant

 

Like this game was def an example of CJ Stroud trying to build a fortress out of sand. He *literally* got pressured on 2/3 of his dropbacks (20ish pressures on 30 attempts) and didn't have anybody good but Tank Dell to throw to

 

I think this is what Stroud would look like on the Panthers (last year) in an alternate world, but he's still making some high level plays in between all the fuckery of poor pass pro, scheme, etc

He's also starting to get jittery because of poor pass pro, accuracy is off at times due to jittery feet

 

I only saw some of the 4th but he had some stinky throws

When he wasn’t pressured and when he escaped he missed a bunch of open guys. O-line didn’t play well but neither did he.
Idk this reminded me of the Browns regular season game last year. I think the Texans had a bunch of of guys out, maybe even Stroud, and the Browns rolled them. But obviously we know what happened in the playoffs

 

I feel like this place has done a complete 180 on Slowik. Last year he was a savant and now everybody hates him.

I think @GreatBeardRecs was always a little suspicious of Slowik

 

Numbers don’t lie, Slowik is a geek this year.

Its the classic case of a new phenomenon has a year of game tape out and can’t adjust to everyone else’s adjustments in year two.
