I’ll be at the parade*!

*Angrily trying to find the alternate entrance for my parking garage that is now essentially inaccessible at 8am due to the road closures and then looking from a high rise down at the parade below for 5 minutes as I contemplate whether it will be cleared out by 5pm or if my commute home is also f’d.

 

I did not bother with the parade last year. seemed like it would be a nightmare to get in and out of, and the actual parade was basically a Tacoma ad

Offseason officially underway

 

The Yankees bringing back Aaron Boone is just absolutely insane to me (not official but strongly hinted at). Not only did his managerial mistakes cost them Game 1 of this series directly, but the consistent lack of preparation and fundamental skill across the entire team this season is a direct indictment on him. How does this go on all year long? How do you bring that guy back?

Maybe it’s always been this way and either forget every year or never noticed but it’s weird to me that the World Series structure is 2-3-2. Is it team with better record has home field advantage or is that still decided by the all star game? Seems weird to have 3 straight road games in the middle of the series vs a 2-2-1-1-1 structure. Not sure how 2-3-2 is an advantage, never liked that set up.

 

2-3-2 has been the norm since 1924 and home field advantage is decided by the better record, hasn't been the ASG result since 2017

personally, i like 2-3-2 but it's all i've ever known. any other format would mean more off days for travel and i hate them
