Do you know what class you are going to do? I'm torn between mage and warrior, I think i'm gonna do Mage.

    EDIT: went with warrior

Rogue/duelist for me. Veil jumper looks to be cool but I always always go for some sort of dual blade rogue in whatever rpg I play for the first time.

Dead Rising Legacy pack is on sale for $15 and includes DR2, 3, and 4. Are any of these good? I’d buy it in an instant if the original were included, but I guess they want people to shell out the money for the remaster instead. Still, if any of these are worth playing, I might bite (or just buy one of them).

    early veilguard impressions:

-art style is great when it comes to environments and UI, pause screens and menu screens are kinda bad though
-character models look way better with my own eyes on my own system than every video I’ve watched for some reason, it does not seem nearly as cartoony or stylized when you’re actually playing the game yourself
-the dialogue is right in line with what I expect from BioWare especially BioWare in 2024 but it feels like a mass effect game and a dragon age game mixed together tone wise, does not feel overly silly or goofy and there are definitely some darker things that happen early on contrary to what some have said
-combat feels gooooood, I only have a handful of abilities so far but the flow is great and I spent a while looking at skill trees to see what I can expect later on and I’m pumped. also going rogue probably duelist

just about all I can offer so far, the more negative reviews I’ve seen don’t really ring true to what I’m experiencing outside of the stupid pointless puzzles, those are definitely a weird choice. dialogue options seem right in line with how inquisition handled them and I imagine companions and romance will be handled similarly which is great I love that game lol

it does, in very many ways, feel like an inquisition follow up which sounds obvious but given how people have talked about some drastic shift in tone and style I simply don’t really see (style somewhat sure) you’d think it was a whole new series. It’s funny knowing the history of this games development that it started as a live service Diablo type game and then some other ideas and eventually landed right back to the most logical direction. my one criticism so far is that this shouldn’t have taken 10 years to make but that’s not all on BioWare. oh and those puzzles. yes they are that bad I will concede that.

not saying EVERYONE is full of it that doesn’t vibe with the writing but most people I see slamming it are just word for word plagiarizing skill up’s review lol. and I already believe his perception of both dragon age and mass effect is based more on what he’s been told and heard out of context and not what he’s actually played (since he admits to not finishing any dragon age games and only playing a couple hours of inquisition) which skews his entire review for me

Dragon Age Veilguard looks good and it will be my first Dragon Age game…but not yet. I still need to finish Zelda and Silent Hill 2. And I plan on picking up Emio and Mario & Luigi eventually. Not enough time to game lately…

good but not great imo however I need to look up what settings to change to optimize it because I’ve heard there’s some tinkering you can do. I hovered around 30 consistently but it did dip to 25 more often than I would’ve liked. It ran much better than say horizon zero dawn pre remaster and probably about as good as cyberpunk

fuck me I installed it on my external which is HDD and the recommended settings require an SSD hopefully the transfer doesn’t take as long as the download
