My parents aren't! My father in law is but I blame the whites he works with. He's very gullible lol

 

My parents are the typical gen x liberals. largely good but have some conservative views here and there

 

My mom watched MSNBC all day long and my dad watches Ice Road Truckers and YouTube videos of Komodo dragons eating deer all day long

 

My mom has greatly tempered in her conservatism after watching John Oliver of all people

 

mine are religious-ish (basically like the community aspect but you won't catch them reading scripture) but I wouldn't come close to calling them republican

Both my parents are republicans as well. My mom doesn't ever really talk about politics so I don't know her stance on most issue mostly just the fiscal and economy issues, my parents own a restaurant so that's their main concern. My dad is weird though, he watches Fox News all of the time but based off all of the movies and stuff he's interested in you'd think he'd lean more liberal. I think if he didn't grow up with a baptist preacher as a father he would probably be a democrat.

My middle sister is a republican as well, probably the result of the people she hung around growing up. Me and my youngest sister are the gays and democrats of the family lol

Everybody on my mom's side that I know of is republicans, I've never really talked about politics with my cousins on my dad's side but I'd guess a couple of them are democrats.

 

Both my parents are republicans at this point though my dad always said he was a democrat when I was growing up. I had to completely stop talking politics with them around 2018/2019 because we very much disagreed and I got into a shouting match with my dad. I don’t know if they’re voting this year and while it’s super disappointing I would not be alive with my parents help several times in my life so we just simply don’t bring up politics. My brother and I are super left though.

 

My father in law is having brain rot from FoxNews but other than that nobody in my family or extended family is pro trump from what I know.

 

My one aunt is crazy MAGA and if you met her in real life you’d have no idea because she’s the nicest lady ever. I had to block her on Facebook because the posts she’d make and the comments on posts were disgusting. My roommate throughout college was a republican and would listen to glen beck and rush and shit and thank god I didn’t follow down that path with him.

I'm so lucky to have married into a very liberal family. It's given me some good respite over the last ten years.
