I did hear from rumor mills that there was an MCR tour planned for next year but black parade in stadiums seems unlikely? I would love to eat my words though

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I think stadiums is over-ambitious for MCR. Maybe a smaller-scale stadium depending on the market.

I could see them maybe pulling off what Korn did this year for the 30 year of their self-titled album and do a “one night only” deal where they play Black Parade and have a stacked lineup of openers. But that’s the only way I think they could do it.

I am also open to being completely wrong

Heard there was holds on baseball stadiums in multiple markets..........I presume average cap is more like 30k for most of them.

All signs point to no mcr album finished so they would need some sort of selling point for a new run. Plus they did the stage show for wwwyfest.

Minor league stadiums? The smallest MLB stadium is 37K (discounting Tampa which currently has no roof), but that doesn't include the field itself. Most of them are around 40-45K with a few getting into 50K+.

I think there can be enough hype for them to play in MLB stadiums, specially if they have a strong support.

Didn’t they sell out their arena shows super quickly in 2019 + 2021/2022? They didn’t even announce their rotating cast of openers until shortly before the shows. A few baseball/soccer stadiums with big support acts could be pretty attainable

Yes. These shows will be fine, especially since there are so few. They might take time to sell out but they will sell.

So many people couldn’t get tickets across the country for the last tour unless they wanted to pay big bucks. Mix that with being even bigger since then, emo nostalgia and solid openers. They’ll be fine.

    idk man

Yesterday will be five years to the day since they announced their reunion show at the Shrine, it all makes sense to be honest

I bring this up cause we all like dorky concert content in here. Went to Lorna Shore last night. 3k capacity, sold out on the day tickets went on sale, very little tickets on the secondary. The VIP area upstairs with seats was like halfish empty. But tickets were sold on live nation. People were so desperate to go, they bought those expensive vip seats just to be on the floor for the show.

Yeah, maybe 2 years ago Matt was in a bad car crash. Oddly enough looking through his Instagram he posted a picture of himself with Jordan ~7 months ago... maybe we should have known that was a sign of something to come. That's cool they're out and about in the scene though.

Imagine a Black Parade album play with BMTH opening. Now that would fill stadiums

Imagine if the opener ends up being LS Dunes. That would be huge for them!

That would be a weird album to play through live. Don’t get me wrong, it’s one my favorite albums of all time and still holds up but it’s not really a full fledged stadium rock album.

I feel like when they did the Siamese dream 20th anniversary tour it wasn’t a play through but just a heavy on the set list
