I can't think of any big band that's had a worse year PR-wise than them when you combine the cancelled arena tour and that lame crypto gig they just did.

 

KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas set to be at the Kia Forum on December 14. Can't say who's playing but it's better than AlterEgo

 

AlterEgo felt like such a step back this year vs last year. I took my niece for her first concert ever last year and she was kind of looking forward to this one until we saw the lineup.

 

I will likely be out of town for it, so I hope this lineup isn’t good lmao

 

Feels super strange to have Brendon and some hired guns play an album that Ryan Ross wrote and get paid for it.

 

weren’t the last 4 records essentially Brendon and a bunch of pop co-writers? Not shocking that their best record was the one written when they were an actual band.

Yeah, Ross wrote all of the lyrics and most of the music for Fever and most of Pretty Odd and then left the band.

 

Mmmm I think Pete Wentz and Matt Squire wrote some of that first album too

 

Oh I'm sure. I was just going off the CD liner notes that said Ryan Ross at least contributed all the lyrics.

 

Oh you’re absolutely right, there’s just scene legend around that album. Iirc, Matt squire had to teach them how to tune their instruments when they arrived to the studio.

 

That isn't surprising. I slightly remember hearing that they were signed before ever playing a show or anything.

tbf i feel pete wouldn't have shyed away from getting credit if he had, he's credited on 7 tracks on vices in total (including deluxe songs)

 

Tyler has like 10 dates in California and can’t even do one in Fresno smh

 

If that happened I'd follow the tour lmao but I don't see Set Your Goals playing shows regularly again (although I hope they do)
