  2. yeah. I’d rather not hear more stories of someone making $100 a week for a shit indie and them tell stories about living in a car eating tuna and raw potatoes

something something pay your dues. no thanks

  6. I do understand that it might not be good for the overall business. You’re basically gonna get trained “the WWE way” and it leaves little to no room for a new Danielson, Styles, Punk to stand out.

At this point they’re looking for former college athletic standouts to drive through their system. If you aren’t that person then they’ll go the traditional route.

I also don’t have that dog in me to make minimal money for “exposure” in anything.

I do think having all of the biggest wrestling schools around the country tied in with WWE is slightly concerning, but like slowheart said they will most likely pick and choose talents based on what WWE traditionally wants.

I don't see it as these school teaching the WWE way. What it seems like to me is that the NIL scheme hasn't brought through as many people as they'd hoped and they're trying to find a middle ground between the college athletes of NIL and the mid 2010's indie-rific NXT that everyone loved.

Yeah the billion dollar company is definitely not doing this to make indie wrestling better. Is it good for some indie wrestlers, sure. For indie wrestling as a whole, probably not.

i sure hope the future generation of pro wrestlers aren't all manufactured by WWE lol

that's not an endorsement of indie promoters paying shite to wrestlers either BTW

I’m sure there will be people WWE would pass on but could probably end up going elsewhere. And then they can take that knowledge and get themselves over and have their choice of where to go

Well the truth of the matter other promotions need to start paying up. Indie promotions I get don’t have the funds like wwe and aew but like they have to find a way to pay it’s wrestlers or they go to the big boys.

indie wrestlers will make more money working various promotions than they will by working for this new farm system for WWE

The bigger indies (Prestige, West Coast Pro, DPW, HOG, WR, GCW, Defy, etc) all pay decent and talents make money by traveling to the different regions. There’s a big different between your small local indies and these “super indies” that actually bring in established talent as well as focus on pushing their local stars. To think that this will not hurt those bigger indies if it’s successful is pretty naive.

In an ideal world, WWE could simply give wrestling schools money, with the only stipulations being that they keep producing high quality wrestlers and WWE still wins because they've increased the overall level of talent

But WWE has done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt here

So do the wrestlers in those school get aigbed to an actual contract? Or is it the school only?

And will they be available to wrestle anywhere else? Because if not then what's the point of being an indie wrestler if you can't wrestle everywhere?
