I don't think Trump wins Michigan as someone who lives here, it will be close though. When you look the population numbers and then drill down on them, we have lost a good amount of people from census to census. I think the top state those people have moved to is Florida, next is Texas, and then third is Indiana. Going to go out on a limb and say most of those are Republican leaning voters. Couple with the population lose that happened from Covid, I think his MAGA base is down. Then it gets into can she win the suburbs of Detroit and Grand Rapids

I think Harris wins as soon as the Trump campaign ending video is posted!!!!!!

 

Cardboard is currently his opponent though. Evil cardboard, but cardboard nonetheless.

 

I’m honestly more interested in how many votes go third party this time around.

 

This will be the most interesting thing for me along with how many people decided to not vote for president.

This is how feel too if Harris eeks it out this time. Been a looooooong time since we’ve had 12 years of the same party in office.

Anecdotally, I’ve got less friends voting third party than usual. I’ve only heard one person even say Jill Stein and she’s on the fence about it. And no one has even mentioned Gary Johnson to me since Election Day 2020.

I still have no plans to vote for Kamala because I know she's going to win my state. But I'm debating who to put for my write-in vote. Maybe I'll pull a Bradley Whitford from Get Out and vote for Obama for the third time.

 

Pretty sure all my close friends in Chicago are not voting for Harris, and are either voting for PSL or not voting for the president.

Maron is friends with Sam Seder which I did not realize until like a year or two ago.

 

They were on Air America together back in the 2000's.

 

Ahhh that makes a ton of sense, I was not familiar with Sam back then. I wondered if it was from Sam's time of dabbling as a stand up comedian.

 

Seder is also friends with H Jon Benjamin. Which is why Benjamin does the intro to TMR and Seder does reoccurring voices on Bob's Burgers.

 

Benjamin was just on like last week and did some deep diving on the connection there. Did not realize that those two and David Cross were all connected.

 

Also going to hype up Sam's work with The Majority Report in here again. Sounds like from their coverage on Gaza and their support of Hasan, their advertisers are getting brigaded from both Destiny and Ethan fans.

It's probably the most unique show with a progressive viewpoint out there. They get into super dry conversations with professors, researchers, and journalists and then also do some dunking on Tim Pool and Rogan as well.

 

As a queer person it really hurts to abstain from voting for President but I’m doing it.

Living in NY I feel truly insulated from some of the LGBT rights being stripped when Trump send them back to the states to decide.

It’s just my queer friends in FL, TX, GA, AL, TN, etc that could all be in a world of trouble if Trump wins.

I want to support my friends but then I feel like a sellout just letting kids get burned to death in Gaza. I mean we all know Trump is going to be worse for Gaza but it’s the fact of showing the Democratic Party a lesson.
