batman meets sopranos is a fun fucking concept. i'm loving all of it so far

 

I'm loving this so much. Tons of emotional beats in that episode - the scenes with Oz and his mom/ Vic and Squid both were surprisingly effective for me. The meetup over beers was a little bit corny but I still kinda loved it. That ending also sheesh.

 

they really found the only hairstyle in all of existence that doesn't look good on Milioti

nah great episode though. that Sofia/Eve scene is maybe the best in the season so far. absolutely phenomenal dialogue

 

Man this is really a great show. My only complaint, and it's petty at that, but it really feels like they are going out of their way to not mention Batman, Vengeance, or anything like that. I mean the dude was center of the disaster putting people on stretchers. At least put the Bat signal in the sky for some of these skyline shots.

 

I mean, I get the complaint...however I think from where we left off at the end of The Batman it makes sense that The Batman has less of a presence in Gotham. They should however mention Bruce Wayne once or twice imo.

 

I feel like if Batman became a symbol of hope for the people of Gotham now would be a great time to see that. Which is why I think the bat signal in the sky would mean a lot to the people, especially in Crown Point. I feel your point though.

I feel like a significant theme was Bruce learning how to be Bruce Wayne, so I'd figure that he'd be leaning into that while he figures out to have a better balance

 

Also the needle nose pliers living up to their name in the worst way. That scene made my skin crawl a little bit

Just started this. This is way better than i thought it would be holy shit.

Cristin Milioti is fantastic in just about everything she is in.

 

Makes me pissed WBD canned the Gothan City PD show, which sounded like it was going to be Batman meets The Wire.

 

I don’t see how, but they gotta find a way to keep Sofia alive for TB2.

The whole cast, Mark Strong weird vibes aside, is just excellent.

 

thought mark strong was great in his episode honestly. it's different than the mode turturro was in for the movie but fits the character better.

 

Yeah I had no qualms with this iteration of Carmine. Think I may have liked him more than Tururro tbh

 

Finally starting this and I’m all in. Ferrell is cooking

 

I'm a couple of episodes behind but the gassing the family scene was so incredible

This show is HIGH quality

 

that flashback tonight was grim. dark af episode

 

The kid who played young Oz was very very good. Also always love me some Emily Meade.

 

Cristin is so good. I love her vulnerability in scenes with the other actresses. Such a complex character.

 

What drove kid Oz to do what he did in the tunnels? You could see he was jealous of the attention the brothers got, but that seemed pretty drastic.

 

Last 10 minutes of this episode is wild
