I'm sorry, I realize I'm biased, but in what fucking world did we get lucky last year? Holy fuck Charles does not watch basketball at all.

Every series I was petrified of the matchups

I fell asleep during the second half but going by the box score I’m assuming it was more of the same, the bench unit being absolute garbage on the offensive end.

Apparently the Gordon deal actually saves them a bunch of money (how the fuck does the NBA salary cap work??) so Booth better not sit on his fucking hands all year and waste another year of Jokic’s prime. He’s too high on his own supply and thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room drafting these developmental guys, when in reality, many of the key contributors from the title team were not home-grown. This is not some overreaction after game 1, anybody with eyes knew this team was still deeply flawed coming into the season.

If a move isn’t made, this team has first round exit written all over them

at this point I just assume the salary cap is somewhat imaginary in most cases. it's all down to how much the ownership is willing to spend in taxes.

also, I watched most of the game and man, Westbrook killed a lot of momentum moments for you guys. Just over the top effort without any pay off and wasted a lot of possessions.

Yeah from what I saw in the first half, he’d make an absolutely boneheaded decision and come right back with an awesome play. He definitely provides energy but he should not be the leader of the second unit. In short, Westbrook giveth, Westbrook taketh.

He's one of those players that has aged but doesn't acknowledge that he can't do the same stuff he used to and hasn't done anything to evolve from that perspective.

One of the best things Westbrook does is driving and getting the defense to collapse on him to kick it out so let’s provide him with 0 shooters

    Defensively he still tries.

whether you can get him to contribute much offensively... well who knows

Though I’m not a Denver fan, but beng in the city and living vicariously through them during that championship run was awesome. It’s a huge bummer that the front office seems to be content with just getting one.

obviously it's real (not sure if you're being sarcastic) but it seems to hurt some teams more than others, so it doesn't feel like the equalizer it's intended to be.

Of sugar and ice I am made

I believe it's because he's opting in on his $23 million player option next season as the first year of the extension, and that saves them roughly $10 million for 25-26 versus if the $133 million were paid out equally for all four years.

It's crazy thinking that Westbrook was once putting up those obscene numbers at point.

that was inevitable. i wouldnt be surprised if he spends the entire season there. feels like theyre giving him a little tour of NBA experience, he's gonna get like, 5 mins a night for the next week and then
