  1. I wanna live in the universe where we get a Bryan Fuller Crystal Lake and Silence of the Lambs instead of whatever Ryan Murphy's been up to since the last thing of his I've seen

I don't think there is anything as drastic as 10 to 1, but I have seen plenty from 7/8 to 3/2/1

The Office is pretty much the same quality throughout. It's not a good show

Ozark immediately comes to mind although a 10 is still being quite generous.

Ozark was like generous 6 to begin with.

not entirely 10 to 1, but Good Girls started out so strong in its first two seasons, got mediocre in season 3, and became unwatchable in its last season (and not because it was prematurely cancelled, so they had to rush the ending partway through production)

Absurd. 1-3 are good. After that, sure.

I haven’t watched a full season since it aired, but I can say with confidence that’s not true. It was spinning its tires pretty hard toward the end. But those first couple of seasons were really good.

Shameless started great (not a 10 though) and then became almost unwatchable.

I was gonna say this but I wasn't sure if I could count it considering it hit 1 after like 3 years

Never finished it but Homeland’s first 2 seasons were great and that fell off hard.

I hopped into The Office late season 5, so i have some attachment to 5 and 6 (even if 6 is really flawed), but obviously have love for the first 4 seasons as well (2 and 3 in particular). 7 had a few good moments, 8 was downright bad, and 9 slightly redeemed itself by bringing Greg Daniels back to wrap up some storylines (but it's still really flawed).

when we binged Shameless the past few months, we really felt like we started watching one show and ended watching something completely different

I haven’t watched it since it aired but I feel like the first 4 are great, the next 3 or so are good and then it just gets really really bad.

my understanding is that that was more of a 5 to 10 to 1 deal

I think we can just say any show on Showtime that aired for more than 2 seasons.
