The 15th of November

 

I will say the cliffhanger didnt really leave me that excited. Enjoyed the first couple seasons, but each season just got less and less enjoyable. Happy this is the last.

 

Watched the newest batch of episodes today. Not among the show’s best, but overall I liked them.

I dig it when this show leans into how ridiculous its premise is, but the big fight in the last one felt too over-the-top for me. Interested to see how the aftermath plays out, though.

I remember Ralph Macchio saying in an interview that they had Chozen survive being stabbed in season 5 since having a character die in a fight would fundamentally shift the tone of the show and they didn’t feel ready to cross that line yet. Now that they did it, we’ll see.

 

I might wait for the last batch of episode to just finish the show. It’s getting stale and I’d rather just plow through the last 10 at once.

 

Part 2 was enjoyable but a bit unsatisfying. Really wanted to see some character development with the matches/winning instead of everything going to shit, yet again, and there be no victor.

Shout out to Wolf "The Dentist" Stansson from Might Ducks 2.

 

Yea i watched the second half today and stand by me thinking this needs to end. And I understand it's a show about karate, but half the episodes felt like I was just watching karate. Sounds dumb to say it, but I got tired of all the karate. And God I could never stand the actress who plays Sam. Or maybe it's the character

 

Yeah with so much karate it just felt repetitive, like I couldn't feel the stakes of the fighting itself.

Such a wacky ending to this middle part of the season. Looks like they likely won't finish the tournament now, so very curious to see where it goes from here.

 

Finally got around to watching this last batch of episodes and I gotta say I think I enjoyed it more than the first batch and maybe even the last few seasons combined. Just give me all the crazy shit. Coulda done without Britt Baker though

 

I think the final season so far has been unhinged and corny in absolutely the best way possible. So much unnecessary drama, backstabbing, silly grudges, over the top plot twists etc and I'm loving all of it. Can't wait for the final batch to wrap things up.
