those scenes aren’t too much in a world where films like Irreversible exist but if you have a hard time with that kind of subject matter in general then I might stay away

I think I vaguely remember something was brought up but I don’t think it went anywhere. Well obviously it didn’t go anywhere lol

The absolute fucking audacity to have that on the menu at most locations too.

But I couldn’t find any articles or anything about it. Google is also trash now though so who knows.

  7. The rape is almost if not entirely off-screen iirc but the sequence is still pretty intense, some pretty visceral moments of violence too, but it's a very good movie and def notable for its director. I would agree that it is not an easy watch, but if you can stretch yourself for it, it's 100% worthwhile

Watched I Saw the TV Glow. Very trippy and Justice Smith is terrific in it, but I think I liked the vibe/aesthetic of the movie more than the actual movie. Felt the same way at about Oddity unfortunately.

Watched Hell House LLC, had only seen origins and not the original. You can only get so much in showing clowns pop up and move their head a little, next to something more modern like Terrifier I really want to see something happen. But my wife was jumping, definitely a wife frightener.

The talk of Scooby Doo Zombie Island got me wanting to re visit it and it’s on Max. Showed my 5 yo it…..I think it actually kinda scared him. He loves Nightmare Before Christmas but I think the Zombies are the most gore he’s probably ever been exposed to. I loved seeing his reaction to Scooby and Shaggy eating so much and getting into shenanigans. I could tell he loved that part at least.

My daughter was born on 10/12 and I’m on parental leave so I’ve been churning out horror movies while she sleeps:

    Re-animator
    From Beyond
    Return of the living dead
    Misery
    Speak No Evil (2024)
    In a violent nature
    Scanners
    Immaculate
    Mr. Crockett
    The Fog
    Fright night remake
    Leviathan
    silver bullet
    Lost boys
    Bone tomahawk
    Salem’s Lot 1979
    Salems Lot 2024
    late night with the devil
    Fresh
    In the mouth of madness

And more but drawing a blank.

The Silence of the Lambs was awesome, just as it was the first time I ever saw it. kinda wish it had maybe a half hour more tacked onto to it tho because it’s such a gripping story

The one where the one guy is talking to the camera and a clown boy is right behind him acting all creepy af. It’s been a minute since I watched it but I remember that one staying with me. It’s actually on my list this year so I shall re visit.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

It's What's Inside was really great. maybe made a slight error of judgement watching it drunk but I still think the film gives you enough handholding moments to figure out who's who whenever you really need to. definitely one of the best directed movies I've seen all year even if the ending was maybe a little less insane than I was hoping for? man fuck Cyrus though that dude sucked so much
