Movies is a banger but it also charted! No votes from me!

 

@ghostedaway @bobsheiskawy I’m definitely with you on Can’t Love Can’t Hurt being their best album by a wide margin! Gun to head that is a top 10 album for me probably of all time. Mostly just thought Bullets (a song I also love) might hit more with this league :)

 

Can't Love, Can't Hurt is really high on my list of albums missing from my vinyl collection (maybe it's at the top?). That record is so good and desperately in need of a repress.

 

New Radicals!!!!!! That album is an absolute all-timer for me, so underrated as a full album. It's beautiful, weird, catchy as hell and the fame scared the singer away from the spotlight for the rest of his life leaving me wanting mooreeeeeee. I really adore that album so much

 

I got a nice raise a couple years ago and splurged on a copy of Can't Love, Can't Hurt. It's awesome to have in the collection, but if it makes you feel any better, it's a real flimsy, bare-bones pressing from a time when it was pretty clear that vinyl was an afterthought. Would love to see a nice repress (and a first pressing of Boulevards)!

 

How do the two new songs from this year hit? I listened to them when they dropped, but I have no history with the band. I should listen to that album.

 

It is a great song for sure!

 

They're not technically new, they are both old songs that Gregg wrote for other artists (Sophie Ellis Bexor, and Adam Levine for the movie Begin Again) and had demo'd as New Radicals but never released. They are both great songs and cool to hear him sing them, but I wouldn't quite say "new"

 

Had no idea "Always On My Mind" was used in this league before, must have been before my time lol but I appreciate the votes anyways!

 

Yeah as we get other people in and move into 50+ rounds, I think we have to be kinder to repeats haha

 

I’m always cool with a repeat if it fits the theme, which this one did. Been guilty of it myself. Plus Always On My Mind is a great track! Tbf I probably wouldn’t have remembered either had I not been the other submitter

@Aaron Mook it was a part of season 3, for the Multi-Hyphenate (song from a musical artist who is also an actor/actress) round. You submitted that Dead Man’s Bones track. Still can’t believe that was Gosling hahah

 

Damnnnn I have no recollection of this track being there haha but those are very solid picks for that round!

 

Dead Man’s Bones has one great song and they rest is whatever

Haven’t decided on an artist/song yet myself, but I personally will not care how few listeners the artist has as long as it fits the prompt. Just looking for good songs

Raffi's Return Is Mostly a Happy One

It was technically the first concert I went to at 5 years old, and I always had a memory that it was too loud and I cried and walked out. But guess what, that memory apparently has been a false memory my whole life because my parents said it didn't happen and I loved the show.
