Empty Elvis, Dreamer’s Disease, That Fear Fever, Virgin Dirt, The Dope Beat, and 27 Club are still extremely my shit

 

Love how big the hooks got on The Blackest Beautiful. The Priest and Used Cars and Empty Elvis would've been emo staples in the 00s... which might be a wild take but idk, the latter's chorus reminds me so much of From First To Last circa 2004

 

Forever lamenting them not making this the second single from the record. Younger should not have been in play.

Every song on TBB rocks, I think it's basically a perfect album in the songwriting department. Y'all are making me want to do a Fake History - TBB listen through right now

If he does a re-recorded version that is touched up like fever records people will be just as pissed. I kind of like the charm of the shitty production.

We all want to be able to hear the songs, it's not unreasonable

 

I feel the same way, but as long as we have both versions… some songs would benefit greatly.

I am generally not someone who picks up on production quirks the way many here do, but I've always thought TBB sounded like a shitty Limewire rip being played through a muffled speaker.

Every song is incredible, though.

 

I want to finally pick up what each guitarist plays, it's insane that their work is drowned out this much at times whereas the riffs were one of Fake History's main appeals for me

 

Like 27 Club's verses sound just like noise, though the riffs are a bit more discernible on the Renditions version

Anyone received their copy of the blackest beautiful yet? I’ve received an email around 15 mins ago saying it was out for delivery. Can’t wait to hear what they’ve done with the songs.
