Lots to love and lots to not love on this playlist. Not a lot of in-between for me lol

 

Wow just peeped the results, congrats to whoever is absolutely running away with this round! That’s one of the songs I was conflicted on whether or not the artist “counted” for the category, but since the theme has proven to be contentious anyway I gave it multiple points. Always loved that song haha

Also @irthesteve said there's an album he really loves on this playlist and for some reason I feel like it's Phantom Planet

 

Phantom Planet rules, but my fav of theirs is Raise the Dead

 

Raise The Dead is so overlooked. My favorite of theirs too!

This is one my least favorite playlists we have ever had haha, I'm sorry but there's a reason so many of these are one hit wonders hahah

movies, always on my mind, heart is hard to find, bullets, kangaroo court, disco 2000, Les fleurs… all great songs!

 

Most of those songs are good, I just fuck with Fetty Wap heavy lol

 

Fetty Wap is good and fun

 

Fun fact (that I’ll only call out since the top spot was exposed anyway) - Movies has broken the long standing record for most points awarded to a single song in our league

The old record holder was Nightlife by Green Day in season 1, during the round “Love To Hate (a song you hate from an artist you love)”, with 48 points

Interestingly enough, in both rounds, the point to player ratio was 1:1, even if the total number of points/players is higher now than it was back then. Whoever submitted that song crushed it!

 

He rules, just has multiple hits

 

I don’t get Fetty and never have. The super strained sounding vocals are so grating haha

 

Insane that Movies did that well. You'll see that half my comments were on other bands that I tried to submit first haha. It was like my 5th choice? Genuinely thought it was going to be one of the lower-scoring songs on the playlist. Great song though!

I also feel like placement in the tracklist is more important than we would want to believe, so having the first track probably helped quite a bit!
