Bold of them to use “From the directors of The Gray Man” as a selling point.

I could be wrong but I read somewhere that the production budget for this is over $300 million!!

This is also the studio that gave Rian Johnson $450 million for two sequels to a movie that had a $40 million budget. All of that without theater releases to make some money back.

Most Netflix movies are basically just premium Hallmark shit. I feel like just making some good movies for once would bring in more subscribers than blowing almost half a billion on just production trying to make a streaming blockbuster. But I’m just some asshole in South Jersey, so what the fuck do I know? Lol

100% agree with u, I think the budgets r so high because the actors get paid their fee plus backend deal upfront like for example Dwayne Johnson got paid $22 million upfront plus backend and producer fees on Red Notice and all together it came to around the $30 million mark plus Daniel Craig got paid $100 million for Knives Out 2 and 3. I wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of the budget for The Electric State goes towards the main cast and the Russos upfront and their backend fees as well

Can almost guarantee it’s that. Chris Pratt doesn’t come cheap and Millie Bobby Brown, despite having never proven to be a box office draw, can command a pretty big paycheck from Netflix.

Millie must have a really good agent when it comes to getting big pay days like this!

Got a little bit into episode 5 of Nobody Wants This before throwing in the towel. Think the good faith Bell built from FSM and Veronica Mars might have finally run out for me
