    yup - I absolutely love "All I Can Think About Is You", "A L I E N S" & "Hypnotised"

I very much prefer the Coldplay-only version of "Miracles" though, which I think was a bonus track for the album in some places and was on a movie soundtrack

Yes, the "other" version of Miracles is so good. I believe it was from the end credits of the movie Unbroken

Ha you popped the G string? I was always popping the B trying to tune it up to E with "Name" until I realized that Johnny uses two high string gauges on that song (as he does with "Slide" as well). Most of the acoustic guitar work by Chris for Coldplay is in some sort of alternate tunings. If anyone wants, I have their tab books scanned and happy to share.

People in here talking about popping G-strings and I'm just like "this is a family establishment".

Man, this album just didn’t hit me at all on my first listen.

It didn’t for me either, and it was pretty easily my least favorite Coldplay album but for some reason I keep returning to it and it grows each time. The one before this one just got worse with each listen lol

Yeah, this keeps drawing me back. Probably more than any of their records since Ghost Stories.

As somebody who enjoys We Pray, I wonder if that song is left off the album or replaced with Man in the Moon if the reception to this album is different. It feels like that song for whatever reason really skewed the view of this album when it is a total outlier sonically.

this is how I've been listening to it, and I've been liking it a lot:

    1. MOON MUSIC
    2. feelslikeimfallinginlove
    3. MAN IN THE MOON
    4. JUPITER
    5. GOOD FEELINGS
    6. [Rainbow]
    7. iAAM
    8. AETERNA
    9. THE KARATE KID
    10. ALL MY LOVE
    11. [A Wave]

"WE PRAY" & "ONE WORLD" are just not for me in the slightest. I love "[Rainbow]" the way it is, but I will absolutely swap in a full version of whatever plays around the minute-and-a-half mark if it ever becomes available, because the album is sorely lacking a bit more of that energy & sound. I did not like "GOOD FEELINGS" at first, and I'm still not crazy about it, but I'd be lying if I said it hasn't been growing on me with each listen.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I've had the hook on Jupiter stuck in my head for days. it's cheesy as hell but undeniably endearing too, especially the "struggle with this stuff" line

other than that the only two songs I like from this are both in the bonus tracks lol, Man in the Moon and Karate Kid

Jupiter is the only song I return to from this.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

"Jupiter" is my least favorite here (mostly because of the cheese and the sort of stuttering setting of the verse lyrics), but I'm generally pretty into everything else on the main album (I also really like "We Pray," which seems to be a similar difference from most here). I wasn't expecting it, but I've found it to be an easy/pleasant record to just throw on every so often.

I like the album fine, as others have said, Karate Kid and Man In the Moon should be on album in place of a few, I would dump We Pray and Alien Radio or Rainbow or whatever it's called. It just feels a little slight and a few more fully formed songs would have helped.
