I continue to get my hopes up more and more each day. The Mets do scare me a bit, though. More so than the Dodgers, I think.

The Yankees would love playing either the Mets or Dodgers right now. Weaver is basically better than Mariano Rivera. Clay Holmes is Jeff Nelson 2.0. Judge finally hit a home run. Stanton is basically better in the playoffs than Judge was during the regular season. Rizzo is playing like he’s 25 years old again and with ten working fingers. Torres turned into a mix of Alfonso Soriano and Robinson Cano all of a sudden. Rodon, Cole, Schmidt and Gil are basically David Cone, David Wells, Andy Pettitte, Roger Clemens and El Duque. Just wait until Verdugo turns into Bernie Williams being clutch at the plate. Volpe is Derek Jeter but faster and with better range. Jazz is a David Justice like spark. And I didn’t even mention Soto until now, I get a strong Matsui with power playoff vibes from him.

I don’t know I can’t see the Yankees losing a 7 game series, they might not even lose another game this year.

 

it’ll be interesting to see what it’s like to watch the Yankees in the World Series after a long hiatus. Will it be like watching Real Madrid in Champions League finals?? Inexplicably inevitable?

 

I don't want to jinx anything with how good they've looked, but let's just take a breather and not get crazy lol.

We can only hope that Weaver continues being this good and that Holmes doesn't melt down again. Judge is trending in the right direction, but who knows what could happen. This isn't the Yankees of the late 90s. We're still making mistakes on the bases and getting lucky in a lot of situations so far. I like the way you think, though

Stanton is going to be the MVP if they go all the way, though. Calling that now.
