in the make believe land I live there's one sneak preview on Wednesday then it wide releases on Thursday

 

Had a great time with Daddy's Head. Dumb name but an above average Shudder original.

 

I rewatched smile and was way more lukewarm this time out. Hoping the second is an upgrade. I also saw when evil lurks and loved the fuck out of it.

 

Well now I feel dumb.

I think I might watch Daddy's Head tonight

 

Someone in here is definitely going to end up being a serial killer that’s finally getting the opportunity to say they’re watching Daddy’s Head without drawing suspicion. But I’m already fucking on to you!

 

Red State isn't a perfect rewatch, but it is really interesting to revisit knowing it came at least five years before Get Out and Barbarian re: comedic directors turning to (social) horror. I definitely have a soft spot for it

 

I haven’t wanted to watch it since reading about the ending they wouldn’t let him do, which did sound sick

 

Since I haven't been in the right headspace for it I've been taking a bit longer to get through The Midnight Club than I would've liked but I kinda figured as far as Flanagan rewatches this month I only wanted to do this and The Fall of the House of Usher so I'm still on track. Anya's episode hits a little less hard when you know how it's going to play out, but I still love Ruth's performance. I remember thinking there was a considerable dip in quality after that but the episode that followed really resonated with me this time around. Two more to go!

 

What was the proposed ending? I am only familiar with the original Clerks III ending

 

During various interactive Q&As for the film, Smith has stated that the original ending continued with the Rapture happening and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse descending on the scene.[\spoiler]

 

Looks fucking awesome. The short story is very contained plot-wise, so I’ll be curious how they blow that world out.
