Remember the recent story that Morrissey was pissed at Johnny Marr for turning down a lucrative reunion deal? I don’t think it was them because of the “if he did it, it’d only be with me” line.

It wouldn’t do anything for me personally, but it sounds like he’s talking about Johnny Rotten and The Sex Pistols. He’s said before that’s the last great reunion he wants to get.

Plus The Sex Pistols just did shows with Frank Carter fronting recently.

That just says to me that they have no interest in playing with Johnny.

If anything, I'd think D.H.'s death would make a DK reunion even less likely. It seemed that D.H. was the only one with whom Jello still had any semblance of a relationship.

posted on the tour thread but amyl and the sniffers putting up a bunch of spring dates, and so far none in chicago while hitting plenty of other midwest (st. paul, madison, cleveland) so hopefully that means chicago in the fall. but full tour not announced yet so who knows.

dang, knew it was too good to be true, wonder why that date doesnt show in their list of FB events, i guess the venue made it instead of them or something

Im surprised Amyl have not played any Chicago festival. I feel they could easily fit in any of the big 3 Chicago festivals.

Saw Cyndi Lauper last night and she would be a fun get for the festival. Too bad she is retiring.

Or he hadn't agreed at the time, could go either way TBF
But yeah I see what you mean

Maybe we'll get them with Frank if not

  11. Opinion I never thought I'd have: I would watch a Sex Pistols w/Frank Carter set and would absolutely not watch a Sex Pistols w/Johnny Rotten set.

  13. Based on the WWWY lineup, gimme Straylight Run and Set Your Goals at Riot.

Letlive, Set Your Goals, and Straylight Run would all be great Riot Fest gets! Nothing else particularly shocking or "unique" on that When We Were Young line-up.

Maybe they can book Taking Back Sunday and put "Performing songs from Tell All Your Friends, Where You Want To Be, Louder Now and more!" That would be such a unique set!

    Maybe GWAR too.

Y'know, it makes me sad that we can't really say the same thing about Andrew W.K. anymore...

Andrew posted about it on the tour forum, but Papa Roach and Rise Against will be touring together in September. So maybe a possibility for Riot?

  19. I'd take it. No way I'm going to see Papa Roach headline but I like a couple single enough to check out their set at a fest.

I hope it does, especially after seeing the accolades many were giving to St Vincent and Waxahatchee, but I also hope we get something that rises out of the ashes.

    Mike, bring back Intonation.
