I know nothing about that band and what he said was fucked up, so no excuses, but that apology does something I wish more would, which is shut people down who are defending the person in question. Hopefully he can learn and do the work to earn that respect back if he really does care about fostering a safe environment.

 

I noticed the same thing. It was almost jarring in the sense that you don't see it very often. I had to re-read it to make sure I was understanding.
