I dont want it to fail as I paid to attend with international flights and hotel, but I do want to get what I paid for which is albums played in full, it was the selling point for a lot of people

John // OC now, OH forever.

Coheed closing a side stage is an excellent call; I’d much rather see them playing at night instead of 2pm on a main.

A is 10 minutes long & it’s just an extension of Q with some motifs of other songs on the album, no way they play it in full if it all

I didn’t really think there was a way Cartel was getting a full hour or even close to it. I’m just hoping Neck Deep gets their full album.

Any other examples of albums with long one offs that are likely gonna be cut?

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I truly do not give a shit if this festival succeeds or fails, I’m glad yall are so defensive about a live nation fest tho

I just think it’s ridiculous to advertise all these album plays and then two weeks before they start asking bands to cut down their set and aren’t going to play the albums advertised

You know of only one band who has had that happened to them. This is a topic that needs to be discussed if it’s an actual issue. The Coheed situation while shitty might just be a one off given the length of the album

I don’t think this is the case in this situation. Any festival lineup has the possibility of changing, that makes sense. A festival whose entire premise is album plays? Much different scenario

That would be tragic, even having seen that album play multiple times.

  11. I think TWY would cut other deep cuts on TGG before cutting “Funeral.” It won the fan request vote for their first Sad Summer and they played it every day despite only having a 40 minute set.

Blurry versions of the cobra setlists if anyone wants to over analyze it and find out if it's the album in full or not :P

Also people were debating if the 9 song setlist was the festival one but I think that's going to be the side show tbh (co headliner and early curfew as the venue doesn't usually do all age shows) and the fest gets the 14 song one.
14 song set would give Cobra a 45 minute set or so.

Haven't done the math but if every band gets around 40 give or take it might add up ok with 5 stages

All they’d really need to do is drop Madelyn (an acoustic song for a festival isn’t a great fit anyway) and they’re under 45 minutes if it’s a straight play through.

The last track on The Distillers’ “Coral Fang” is 12 minutes long. I don’t foresee that one getting a full play since I’d expect them on a side stage.

    2022 - 56 acts on 4 stages
    2023 - 67 on 5 stages
    2024 - 62 5 stages
They added extra acts due to the backlash (should've been there in the first place) then Carr later so probably stretched the already stretched original plan.

Almost every act got at least 30 mins in previous years.
Music starts earlier in 2024 too.

Thinking they're giving (almost) every band 45 mins and the few bands who have longer albums need to cut down to that. Someone needs to do the calculations to see if that works out haha

Most or a lot of the albums are around 40 minutes
A few around 20, and a few around or over an hour.

New Found Glory randomly playing Sticks & Stones at this thing instead of Catalyst suddenly makes a lot of sense.

    Okay super quick calculations but

Main stages: other bands in 2023 ended at 20:20
That's room for 13 45 minute sets from doors before fob/MCR
    total 15 bands.

Ghost and Stripe both had 5 minute changeovers in 2023 for the next act
50 minutes an act, you could fit in 15 acts on each going from doors until 11pm

    same with the tent

That's 60 total, not taking off time for acts with shorter albums or giving say anything/coheed extra time.

Seems like a scheduling nightmare but might be doable.

I can see artists like Millionaires and against the current playing at the beginning because they are playing eps, if they are going by shorter sets to longer ones.

55 bands last year, 4 stages.

My bad, swapped 2022 and 2023 but yeah 4 stages last year.

Presumably the fifth is back this year, it was for SNW

I posted this last year when it was first announced but updated:

-1 album is longer than an hour
-3 albums length are between 50min-1hr
-31 albums lenght are between 40min-49:59
-20 albums lenght are between 30min-39:59
-2 albums lenght are less that 20 min
-4 bands not playing an album (one of them a headliner, and probs the other 3 will have 30 minutes sets?

The shortest ones are Millionaires and Against The Current, so not sure if they will only play 20 minutes or be given extra time for more songs as well

Drummer of Coheed has stated his main bands to see were AAR and MCR

Maybe they requested to not clash with MCR while the festival still had them mentally slotted in there as it was a long set so ended up with the current situation where they presumably won't clash but no longer have that full set.
Idk just guessing. Sucks for whoever does clash with MCR haha

  25. Not counting ones I’ve already seen played through before, the only one on that list I’d be stoked on is The Forecast haha. Hence why I decided to not go, even after 3 separate friends offered free tickets to me.
