There’s a midpoint between not touring a lot and getting to book bigger rooms and touring nonstop and booking the smaller rooms all the time. I think they’re trying to do the former. They didn’t pack out Masquerade’s Heaven stage when I saw them there for the TTWTWM playthrough, but it didn’t feel too big either.

Postcard live is the best any band from this era has ever sounded

 

Incredible show, holy shit. Best the band has ever sounded.

 

That was my takeaway from the NYC opening tour date. Postcard really did sound perfect. Better than any other time I've heard them play it live.

Also the new drummer is everything this band ever needed.

Where my "For a Walk" stans at

Honestly, would rather For a Walk been left off the album entirely and the three Slow Heart songs make it onto the album somewhere. For a Walk is a fine song overall, but sticks out negatively pretty much entirely because of the lyrics

 

But we get to have all 4 songs in this timeline either way. Sounds like a win to me

when I saw them tour for LWM, they played For a Walk and there was a crazy mosh pit for it and honestly one of my favorite live moments I have. Love that song, didn’t expect them to ever play it live, and definitely didn’t expect a crowd reaction to it.

That midi part in For A Walk fuckin slaps. I’m not sure the song is as interesting as it feels like it’s trying to be but it has grown on me over the last 8 years

 

Definitely think this is their best album, it takes all the best parts of their previous records and blends them together. However, I think the Two Quick to Forgive single is the best thing they’ve released in totality and Savior Mode is the best song they’ve ever written
