New song is a HEATER wow. This band is really taking it to the next level this album, and it sounds great.

Don’t think this one is gonna be for me. They seem to be leaning way harder into emo and away from the hooky pop punk I thought they did well on the last few releases

  7. our love was like a sad song reminds me of the first have mercy record

Listened twice. Feels a little long (a lot of songs blended together for me). But there are some cool tracks/moments.

Best work with Cody on vocals for sure. Composure is still their peak, but this is less all over the place than The Home Inside My Head was and way better produced than Maybe This Place Is The Same..

Pretty much lost interest once Dan left. They were never one of my favorites, but I enjoyed them a fair bit, especially Composure. Intrigued by this, though.

  16. I had actually come around on a couple of the singles, but I'm not really feeling the album as a whole.

4 tracks in right now, and I'm pleasantly surprised.

  20. This is a pretty big downgrade from Composure in the hooks/songwriting department. It's a totally fine pop punk album, definitely on the better end, but Composure was an ambitious album (for them) that landed most of its big swings and this is just safe. Not really bummed because I didn't expect that much from them but I have a feeling I'll forget this came out by the end of the year, which is not a good sign.

And yeah, I still miss Dan. Cody is doing a fine job but it's faceless to me.

It’s okay. The first third of it is the best by far. Doesn’t touch that last EP or Composure imo
