But that is not where the population is to win the state. Even in the suburbs which have plenty of red areas, this is not going to play well. People around the Detroit area even those who will talk shit about Detroit, dont react well to people not from Michigan talking shit about Detroit. Its a weird equation but I have seen it happen multiple times.

4 out of the top 6 counties in Michigan would be considered apart of the Detroit Metro area, 3 out of those 4 went for Biden last election.

It's weird though because I feel like even in the suburbs you can only talk shit about Detroit if you are from here. Outsiders do not get that pass. Said similar above as well.

have a feeling we won’t be seeing the same numbers as 2020 just due to the amount on Muslim-Americans in MI that will abstain from voting for Harris, or actually cast a protest vote for Trump.

this election has never been in danger for him, it’s sad but Israel invading Palestine gave him this election a year ago. difference being repubs will vote blindly down party lines no matter what, dems will not and the portion that will deviate will cost them this election.

and rightfully so. Trump 2024 is inevitable at this point.

I think you guys are all vibes right now, she’s maintained a relatively steady lead in the polls. It’s close and uncomfortable but it’s not over lol

It’s absolutely vibes. Thing is, Trump is also running a pretty terrible campaign. Less so that either one is a lock and more so that both can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat

From what I see its estimated that there is 241,828 Muslim Americans in Michigan.

The difference between Biden/Trump in 2020 was 154,188 in Michigan.

Now this does not take into account younger non-Muslims who will abstain or vote third party because of the genocide. But there are plenty of other factors at play with who is going to win Michigan. Things like how many people who would be typically Republican leaning votes who have moved out of state to places like Florida. Things like how many older, Republican leaning voters who have died since 2020 from things like Covid.

So I don't think the genocide in Palestine is going to be the one thing that turns Michigan back to him. It will have an impact sure, but there are other factors beyond that need to be accounted for here. It's going to be close just like it was in 2020 but to be that definitive on the outcome of this state is not where I am at as someone who lives here.

I live in Michigan. Businesses and houses have Trump/Vance signs everywhere I go and I see no support for Harris.

It was like that last election and I have seen at least where I am at, a significant decline in Trump signs.

I drive all over the state below I-94 and the cities have big Harris support and rural places have tons of trump signs. Blue collar cities like Jackson seem to lean trump in the number of signs I see. Basically down US12 is a huge line of trump signs.
