I don't know about banning, but Giuliani if AG, sure as shit is gonna stop the grant and funding agreements for them to local PDs. Our PD is also CALEA certified and has gone through a lot of the training that Obama and the DOJ have been implementing in the last few years, so I am guessing those accreditations and trainings are going either not exist or change drastically under him as well.

also our city has a Human Relations Commission and a Public Safety Citizen's Advisory Board that do a lot of mediating, advising, and auditing of and with the PD. Those have taken training on police and communities of color interactions and used grants from the Community Relations Service division of the DOJ. That's probably going away too

"In the coming days, I will also provide a series of reforms to reinvigorate the Democratic Party. I believe strongly that the party must break loose from its corporate establishment ties and, once again, become a grass-roots party of working people, the elderly and the poor. We must open the doors of the party to welcome in the idealism and energy of young people and all Americans who are fighting for economic, social, racial and environmental justice. We must have the courage to take on the greed and power of Wall Street, the drug companies, the insurance companies and the fossil fuel industry.

When my presidential campaign came to an end, I pledged to my supporters that the political revolution would continue. And now, more than ever, that must happen. We are the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. When we stand together and don’t let demagogues divide us up by race, gender or national origin, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. We must go forward, not backward."

Although, fuck that working with Trump shit. When he says rebuilding infrastructure, he likely means employing out of state contractors that use undocumented workers to lower costs of large-scale construction projects.

  15. Maybe my views of Bernie are just too damn positive but when he says he wants to at least try to work with Trump on improving lives of Americans, I feel like he really just wants to *help* people however he can. I don't think he's the type of person to spend the next 4 years refusing to work with the GOP if it means innocent people suffer
