I rewatched bad blood again this morning and yeah the Punk-Drew HiaC match is the match of the year in WWE for 2024.

they made the stipulation important again - Punk has never looked better and when his storyline has a purpose there is no one better on the mic - he's proven all the skeptics wrong so far. He's only wrestled 3 times this year and will probably garner some wrestler of the year votes from that haha.

Drew came out looking way better because of this feud too and I'd imagine once he comes back he'll be cheered as a babyface so it'll be interesting to see if WWE leans into that - regardless dude has never been better either and he got to show off his personality more because of this feud.

anyways it was a top 5 all time hell in a cell match and the Punk-Drew feud is tied with Swerve-Hangman as the best feuds in all of wrestling in 2024

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if Oba just went straight up now

 

I think Drew deserves consideration for wrestler of the year

I know I know about ratings talk but I didn’t expect the temporary move to Tuesday and the time slot change would result in those type of numbers

bummer too because it was a hell of a show

 

I’m not surprised. It was an hour later on a different night going against NXT, MLB Playoffs and NHL opening night. They also need to start announcing stuff at least a week in advance. Hardly anything was announced for this show before Monday.
