While I realize it’s just the first song, I loved the band because i thought they were taking the genre in a different place and doing something very different with the dance routine ep. This first song just feels like a step back and isn’t really taking any chances. Interested to hear what else they got though.

 

This song would fit pretty well on the ep tbh so I don’t think you need to get too anxious yet

 

I thought the LP was decent enough but everything since has been not very good. The hardcore and alt rock choruses mixed like oil and water on the EP, and they might as well go full alt-rock at this point.

 

This song is cool.

 

Song is fun, you can see they’re maturing in their song writing.

This band signing to Dead Oceans signals their ambition to become a big band and wouldn’t be surprised if they continued to lean into Alt Rock more than hardcore.

We’ve seen them open on big tours like ADTR and know they’ve tried for Blink opening slot as well. I’m sure they continue this strategy into 2025.

EDIT: also thinks they are the first band Kevin Lyman calls for Warped ‘25.

I personally loved Special a ton as well as their EP so I’m stoked for this!
