It's been quiet in here. I hope you haven't all given up on each other in the wake of his Trumpness taking over.

In more cheerful news, I think I'm on a date tonight at a pub which has cats in it. Like, as a thing. I don't really understand. I think I'm also having beers and what are supposed to be the best chips in the west country on some barge. As you can probably tell (what with me not knowing what is going on), I didn't plan this one.

Actually before the election there were a couple girls I was talking to on Tinder, since the election it's been radio silence. Might just be general Tinder suckiness but it still feels like we're all too bummed to care

 

I got a few OKC messages in the last week. One was someone several hours away, not sure why they messaged but I talked to her a little bit. The second was from someone in the Philippines, not sure why again there but this is like the third person from there to message me. Talked to her a bit about the election and stuff. The third is someone local and 21 which might be too young for me but she seems pretty cool and we've just been bemoaning the election results together.

Still not sure what my situation is with the girl I've been saying the past couple months. Due to schedule issues we might not get to hang out till next weekend.

 

We just didn't have time for each other. No hard feelings between us.

 

I mean to be fair the election has had a negative impact on many people. And some people are quiet because not everybody wants to talk about everything on a public forum, not everybody wants to date, and not everyone is in a relationship. And some of us are just miserable.

What happened on the date then? Did you go?

 

I don't know how to handle putting myself out there again and trying to meet people, so I don't see much dating in my life for a while.

 

Find something you like, find a group for it and slowly get yourself to go to meetings. Don't worry about dating, get those connects up.

If Trump blows up the world and I die alone I am not gonna be very happy. maybe i'll meet someone at one of the protests or meetings once I find some organizations to get involved in.

 

Relationship is being held up cus of my girl's ex (who I was her prior to - during (young and in "knew it was the right one but no idea how to have that" type love, mistakes were made on both sides, but we reconciled after years and fell back in love again) whom she married the few years we were apart. They're long over and have been mutually so, but he's in his feels she's moved on now; especially with me. So it's fess up the money for that divorce now since he won't just sign the papers he was suppose to more than awhile ago; especially considering it was his decision to split and it had been mutual.

Very frustrating to have to be the one to watch this play out as her support when really (and I'm no violent person, pretty much a pacifist but) I never really liked that guy and just wanna hit him with a dropkick for being a dick.

 

I can empathise. The Brexit thing knocked the shit out of everyone I knew back in June. I think it can only be a Trump factor, because all those other reasons normally exist and this forum tends to be fairly vibrant.

I did go on the date. For the first time in my life I fucked up on a train and got on the wrong one. Instead of travelling across Bristol, I ended up in Bath and had to get one straight back. Fortunately, the lady found this funny and came to collect me from the main station.

We didn't bother with the original plan and instead went for pizza (I fucked up again and ended up with one with no cheese!) and then went to this really cosy hipster bar before going back to hers. Was a rather nice evening. :)

 

I think the best part of tinder is all the fake accounts that say they own or the GM of the New York Knicks/Yankees.

 

It's fairly believeable to say James Dolan could be more focused on Tinder than the Knicks considering the Knicks are the Knicks (and I say this being born & raised in NY lol).

 

that's actually what made me quit tinder, haha. SOOOOO many fake accounts.

 

The only time I ever got matches on Tinder was when I made one for Stefon from Saturday Night Live and used it to tell jokes to people

Tinder is not for me nor was it ever but using it for that was fun

 

Yo pizza with no cheese is DEFINITELY a fuck up but what I'm really concerned with is why your server didn't say "no cheese? The fuck is wrong with you?"

 

A pizza just...IS cheese.

 

I feel like that's the biggest flaw

The server took the order, did not correct it, brought it to the people making the pizzas, told them they had to make a fucking pizza with no cheese, got the pizza with no cheese and made sure it was correct and cheeseless, and brought it to them

 

This is post-brexit England. Jesus god damn Christ.

 

I feel better about this now that I can blame someone else for my mistake.
