We reach for the longest shadow

Anyway, I spent way too much on vinyl on FF weekend. By B&C preorder came in, I went to Seasick and picked up Low Teens, BTBAM's Colors, Mastodon's Crack the Skye, then got lucky (again, thanks to Garrett) and got Saosin.

Yeah, just went back and listened to that Cute Is What We Aim For and decided it's a "nice to have" and not a "need to have". Amazing price though! Literally almost bought it.

Just received my copy of Alice in Chains - Black Gives Way to Blue from Craft Recordings and the outer sleeve took some massive damage. So bummed. Hope they'll send a replacement. Records seem okay.

    England.

Completely agree. One band I thankfully could never get into. Awful.

Wasn’t that the band who’s singer basically said that rape wasn’t real?

Yeah, listened to it earlier but couldn’t make it past the first few songs. Did not realize how off-putting a lot of the lyrics were as a 13 year old.

The only ones I know for certain sold out were August Burns Red’s special Death Below pressing and the Saosin SmartPunk pressing.

Same. I listened to it quite a bit. I remember seeing them open for Paramore way back when. But I couldn't revisit this.

I used to also frequent a lot of shows across the border in Buffalo / Williamsville so I'd see Shaant quite a bit at shows and thought he was a total wank haha..

  20. I remember that Paramore tour well - it was Cute, Hit The Lights, and This Providence opening (at least at my date). Will always cherish the memory of seeing Paramore in those very early days but I still cite that show for Cute being the worst live band I’ve ever seen

Had to get this. Not sure if many in here will care but oh well.

Krautrock, electronic, and ambient music pioneer, many-times Brian Eno collaborator, and a legend in his own right - a cool boxset of early unreleased solo material.

Amazon deals starting to pop up. So far I’ve seen:
    Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher - $10
    The Offspring - Smash - $13
Matchbox 20 - Yourself or Someone Like You - $13
Bon Iver - For Emma -$10
    Bon Iver - Bon Iver - $10
    Bon Iver - Blood Bank - $13
Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin - $17
Dua lipa - Dua Lipa $11
John Mayer - Heavier Things -$12

Im sure more will start popping up tomorrow during Prime Day. For now I had to snag those first 2 Bon Iver albums

On the topic of Cute, I worked a festival they played in 2006. One of the members of Cute was hanging around on stage talking to people playing with his Sidekick and walking around in front of the gear of one of the bands that was trying to load in. He eventually set his phone down on a road case and without missing a beat the drummer of the other band trying to load in picked it up, walked to the back of the stage, and punted it about 30 yards deep into a parking lot.
