Any time I dip into the talk around the band, I’m surprised to see people talk about various highs and lows. To me, they’ve been overall pretty consistent, with a core approach that hasn’t faltered. Every album has a very distinct sound and aesthetic so far, but it always ultimately “sounds like Pale Waves” (complimentary).

Anyways. Yes, this is really good. Feels like the most “rainy day” album they’ve done; good bit of accidental synergy with the weather.

Surprised 'Not a Love Song' wasn't one of the singles, song's so catchy

I think this is AOTY for me and it’s not even particularly close, which is crazy since they’ve never been an albums band for me before

Surprised about the lack of chatter around this because I think this is awesome. I loved the last record as well and this is an evolution and step up from the form they had there.

I love this album. It might be my new favourite of theirs.

It feels like a very good mix of all their previous albums. Miss America is my jam

Miss America and Slow are probably both going to work their way pretty high into my most-played at the end of this year

Still need to check the last one out but I loved the 00s Avril Lavigne inspired second album.

Has “My Mind Makes Noises” been taken off Spotify altogether or just the Australian Spotify? Went to go revisit it just now and it’s unavailable.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Still on UK Spotify. Must be a lapsed licence or something.
