I enjoy all three enough but none really excite me all that much. I guess that's Halsey in a nutshell for me though

is it the NIN-produced one? that's arguably their best

  5. Seems like a small last minute show coming up in NYC this weekend per an IG story

“Ego” is a great track 2 after what I assume will be an intro. I want to hear those 70s songs.

Lonely Is the Muse is so god damn good. I enjoy them all but that one is on a different level.

All the songs are great but I think Ego is definitely my favorite so far. It reminds me a lot of 3am, which is another one of my favorite Halsey songs.

I liked Ego more on the VMAs than the recorded version so I guess it's growing on me

Ego is still stuck in my head. Who knew that I would be so excited for a Halsey record?

pretty cool to have 3 versions of the same song to really nail down the album theme

Cool concept, I think some of the songs released are good but there is 0 buzz about this somehow.

Oh god we’re already doing the “it flopped” thing and the album isn’t even out yet

To be fair, none of the singles from HFK even made it to radio until after the album came out, but honestly I think Halsey is done striving for Top 40 success. IICHLIWP was an intentionally uncommercial album, and I think this time around she just wants to get the music out quickly while it's still fresh.

She has a very passionate and loyal fanbase that still sells out amphitheaters. She's reached a point in her career where she can just put out a good record knowing that the people who need to hear it will hear it.

She's not young and hungry anymore, she doesn't need her music videos playing as ever-present youtube ads like she did in 2015, and she doesn't need another Top 10 hit to prove her status as a "main pop girlie" she's been there, done that.

Every Halsey album has debuted in the top 2

  19. Yeah, radio and charts somehow turning into the only metric for success in pop music has gotten very tired very quickly. This will do just fine

I submit a new metric to measure how successful an act is, how many Subreddit users.

  21. I judge based on how many versions of the album they have to release to streaming to keep other artists from getting number one

wait, so now every single song is inspired by a different person? I thought there were four main "inspos"
