We reach for the longest shadow

A Little of Myself reminds me of the best parts of LWM.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

Rocked in providence last nice, great set but yeah, bummed we didn’t get any songs from the early EPs or splits at all and light on Separation but makes sense with wanting to include all the new tracks. They did a really fun full band version of Dirty Head. Also always love how much Jon is vibing during Midnight Zone when they play it. One of my fav live versions of any of their songs. Tour variant of the record looks sweet too.

Jon vibing to Midnight Zone during their reunion show last year was a highlight for sure.

This album is much more light we made than I would’ve expected

If anything honestly it sounds more like the slow heart ep than any of their albums imo

I think the 3 songs I like the most were songs they didn’t release as singles (ain’t it sweet, lead foot, closer to god)

I definitely texted my group chat and said it’s Slowheart LP

Yeah they killed it in providence last night. Definitely on their A game and they sounded fantastic and the energy was there. Sometimes, I feel like they can be hit or miss when I see them live. New songs sounded fantastic live. Bummed we didn’t get Sorrow Machine but there’s always next time!

The run of Lead Foot > Sorrow Machine > A Little of Myself > Closer to God is truly unreal

    Got a light?

The title track deserves more love, great way to close this out

This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

I wish my first time hearing it was within the context of the album.

My only qualm with this record…
Is they released too much of it early and I didn’t have the restraint (nor did Spotify playlists) too have me not listen to the first 3 singles 100 times.

would have been floored to walk into this blind.

Need to dig into this more but first spin sounded great. So glad they're back.

It still isn’t cold here in Alabama, but I cannot imagine how much harder this will hit with a chill in the air. They knew exactly what they were doing releasing this in October.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I wasn't a huge fan of this on first listen but I'll give it a few more tries for sure. pretty casual fan of these guys but loved the 2023 songs they put out

This is a damn fine cup of coffee.

On "Closer to God," the transition to the second verse sounds like that drum pattern that AFI uses a lot, such as Sing the Sorrow's "The Beginning."

I’ve only been listening to this album all weekend aside from listening to Linkin Park’s Papercuts cause that bridge near the end popped into my head lol

I only did this with the title track (because I am a weak man) but I’m soooo glad I did because when I finally heard it - it hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s probably my favorite track off the record right now next to closer to god. What a killer closer.

Was this during the Wildlife tour for La Dispute? If so, I caught that in Portland. Only time I've seen B&C and La Dispute. Took my then girlfriend and I thought it was amazing, her not so much lol. Sainthood Reps ripped as well.
